New Exchange Program for Georgia Farmers to Travel to Germany

Through the generous support of The Halle Foundation, the American Council on Germany is currently seeking applications from young professionals working in the agricultural/farming industry who live and work in the state of Georgia for a one-week educational program in Germany. The ACG will arrange meetings with individuals within the agriculture industry including policymakers and agricultural experts while acquainting themselves with the practices, challenges, and solutions of their peers. Participants will travel as a group to two or three cities, including Berlin, during the Mission to receive a behind-the-scenes look at the issues being addressed by their transatlantic counterparts.

Scheduled to take place from November 6 to 12, 2022, the American cohort will travel to Berlin and surrounding areas. The ACG will cover all program-related expenses such as travel, accommodations, and meals. The total estimated per participant value of the program is over $6,000.

Upon completing the travel, participants are required to submit an analytical report which reflects the findings from the Mission.  Reports will be published by the American Council on Germany.  Participants are also asked to share their experiences with their larger community through virtual and in-person events.

Through this program, the ACG will engage a new younger generation in transatlantic relations, helping to preserve the future of the German-American partnership.

Application Deadline is August 19, 2022
