Field Day: Post Harvest Processes & Scaling Support with Institutions in Mind

Georgia Organics, and the Georgia ACRE Collective are hosting a Farmer Field Day (FFD) on Monday, February 26 in Mansfield, GA. This exciting workshop will be hosted at Love is Love Cooperative Farm with community partners, The Common Market Southeast and The Conservation Fund.  

Attendees of this Farmer Field Day will get an in-depth look at their harvest, post-harvest and packaging processes at Love is Love Cooperative Farm. Come learn about harvesting, post-harvest cleaning and packaging processes, along with food safety and scaling for wholesale considerations. 

THIS FIELD DAY WILL BE HIGHLY VALUABLE FOR:

  • Crop producers interested in improving their wash/pack stations 

  • Growers who want to learn more about how to scale their business for selling to wholesale buyers, especially institutions 

  • Growers who want to learn about cooperative farm ownership  

  • Growers looking for funding via grants and loan opportunities 

The deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 19.
