Agriculture Assistance Programs Workshop

The Georgia Association of Conservation Districts (GACD) and the Lower Chattahoochee River Soil and Water Conservation District are partnering to present a free informational workshop for local farmers, producers, and anyone in the agriculture industry who wants to learn more about assistance programs for their agricultural operations. This workshop will discuss Farm Bill programs through USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service & Farm Service Agency along with State Conservation programs through the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission.

The event will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Sumter County Agriculture Center located at 127 William Bowen Pointe, Americus, GA. Dinner will be served. This is a free event but registration is required online at www.gacd.us/events. The Lower Chattahoochee River Conservation District is a sponsor of this event.

The Lower Chattahoochee River Soil and Water Conservation District is a unit of state government that directs natural resource management programs in Clay, Lee, Schley, Sumter, Stewart, Randolph, Webster, Terrell and Quitman counties. The Conservation District works with farmers, landowners, and with other units of government to educate and actively promote programs and practices that support the conservation, and use and development of soil, water, and related resources.
